As per the reports, on the morning of Thursday, 1st December 2022 the district of The Wilkes County School states Wilkes Central High School was put down into lockdown after the police get the call of an active shooter. But it already creates a lot of panic situations amongst the students as well as their parents. In order to understand the seriousness of the matter police instantly put the school in lockdown and begin to search for the shooter.
Wilkes Central High School Shooting Hoax Explained
Though the Office of Wilkes County Sheriff and school system stated there is no menace of an active gunman at the school. The district stated that the school instantly went into lockdown and also followed all the safety measures as well as processes. The police department along with law enforcement looked at the school carefully and stated it was clear and there was no such menace. The district of the school further added that there will be many law enforcement officers will be present at the school from the eye of precaution.
It is yet not known who spread this fake news and police are trying to identify it. The person who called the police stated that a shooter has open-fired at the student but within 30 minutes after searching the school police confirmed that the call was bogus. The reports state that the caller stated an active shooter who is a male was in the biology classroom at Wikes Central and he shooted 5 pupils.
