Hello everyone and we have lost another r tremendously talented athlete from the Philippines in the form of Lydia de Vega-Mercado. She was considered the fastest woman in Asia during the 1980s. She was the direct arrival of famous Indian Runner PT Usha. She took her last breath on 10th August 2022. We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and make her soul rest in peace. She was just 57 years old and the cause of death is still unknown. The Indian athlete also Express their apology on Twitter and she mentioned that the Filipino athlete died because of breast cancer. She was a true Warrior and brave enough. They met at the 1968 Asian games. She was born on 26th December 1964 in Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines. She also became a Member of the Meycauayan Municipal Council between 2001 and 2004.
