Loza through an interview has said that she had ideas to add her country’s flavour which is Puerto Rican flavour to Disney world. Although Lazo is a student of electronics she finds an interest in food and also in cooking as well. She has her education at the University of Puerto Rico’s Humacao campus where she majored in electronics. Later she moved from there to Orlando in 1994. Lazo earlier went on a vacation to Florida after which she was offered a job at Disney where she used to wash dishes. Later although she had the option to go back to Puerto Rico, she was offered a job in cooking and to learn it as well, so she stayed in Florida and earned her hard-earned money and also learned cooking as well. Her career began at the company when she started to cook and became a chef.

Lazo earlier started off by making small dishes and she even started to make Pizza as well. But later she gradually shifted from being a small cook at Disney to being one of the most creative and also traditional chefs at Disney. While Lazo began her work as a chef, she started in pastry work as well. later she moved on to become a chef that brings out carvings and also many beautiful designs in her cakes. Her collaboration with Disney was marvellous as she made cakes that had many themes related to the resorts, parks and many other things in Disney land as well.
