About 4 years ago Samirah Muzaffar and her teenage children were accused of killing her husband and the Cradle funds CEO, Nazrin Hassan. All three of the suspects were supposed as the murderers of the victim and were detained right after the incident was recorded on the 14th of June 2018. All three of the suspects were arrested from the family home of Nazrin at Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia. They were supposed that they might have covered up their crime by covering their body with heat to clear their spots of crime. Additionally, all three of them had admitted that they were not responsible for this crime in any aspect. Initially it was believed that he might have died because of the explosion of his cellphone.

But when another report after his post marten was disclosed that told another different story saying he had died because of a blow on the pinnacle. This revelation was done after the 4 month long analysis over his body. Many reports say that his bedroom door was locked in a way that someone else tried locking him up there. Adding on to it, his body was burnt to many places as disclosed by his reports. Many of the crackers were also seen in his room which was suspicious. Although court had to release the suspects as there was nothing as evidence against the woman and the teenager about them being guilty of the murder.
During the case, there were 57 witnesses who were heard from both sides. About the case, it started to be heard in the courtroom about a year later the death of CEO, Nazrin Hassan.
