Spence’s son Craig said in a statement that the artist was suffering from lung cancer as a result of which he passed away on the 26th of August 2022. He was 69 years old at the time of his death. Spence was on a tour back in March and the band closed the tour back in March after having an 11-day tour. In 2020 the band’s member named Albert Apple as well passed away and the band was still recovering from the loss that they faced a year ago. The band was initiated when Spence, Bulgin and Craig met back in the 1950s as polio patients and they met at the Mona rehabilitation centre in St Andrew. After being together for years they released their first album called The Same song which was produced by Tommy Cowan and was called unity among the Rasta houses.

Spence also said that the group was gaining much reputation in many Jamaican areas but they were not quite famous in areas like New York, Miami and many parts of England as well. Spence was survived by his five children, his five grandchildren and an elder brother Louis well. At the moment there is no information about his wife or partner.
