Police have arrested Danny Williams, 27, on charges of attempted murder as a hate crime and aggravated assault after he was caught on camera repeatedly smashing a man in the face with a hammer aboard a Q train in Queens. It happened on Thursday afternoon around 4:05 p.m. at the Van Wyck Boulevard-Carroll Street station, near Liberty Avenue in Jamaica. According to police, Williams approached the victim on the train without saying a word and attacked him with a hammer. The suspect then fled from the train as it pulled into the next stop moments later.
