The second incident involved a Bell 206 helicopter that crashed in the ocean near Daytona Beach, Florida. The pilot of the aircraft was not injured. Authorities say two choppers crashed in the waters off Southern California and one in Florida, killing all four people aboard. The incident took place during a training exercise by military helicopters. The accident was reported at around 11:30 am local time (1830 GMT) near the Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbor in Long Beach, California, and about 10 miles south of Marina Del Rey, which is located on the city’s Westside.
