At Least 11 were Injured & More Than 30 People Hurt

This incident occurred on Hawaiian Airlines where there were many passengers who were left in terror while 11 passengers were left with severe injuries as well. It was mentioned through the sources that the flight was from Phoenix to Honolulu and the incident occurred on Sunday when the flight was about to land. The flight did start to get upside down and there was a seat beat sign shown on the flight. The passengers who fasten their seatbelts were left with fewer injuries and the ones who were not were having major injuries as the plane nosedived.

Speaking about the passenger’s video it was seen that as a result of the plane undergoing turbulence the passengers were seen getting under the luggage as it slipped down from the cabinet and children screaming out of pain and fear in the background, While on the other hand a flight attendant was seen appealing over the intercom the passenger who have medical training to come forward while she also asked for firefighters, nurses and also doctors as well.

It was mentioned later by the officials that a total of 36 people received medical treatment for the bumps that they had and bruises and nausea that they had. Of the 20 people who were carried immediately to the hospital of which 11 were in serious health conditions. Jim Ireland, Director of Honolulu emergency medical service added that they are happy that there is no demise reported until now and they hope that the ones who suffered injuries also get treated very soon as well.

A passenger named Kaylee was also on the plane and later mentioned that she was with her mother on the plane and that her mother Tiffany who was inside the bathroom just came out when the plane started to get turbulence. Kaylee mentioned that people tightened their seatbelts but her mother was standing and she soon faced injuries because she was thrown upside down due to turbulence. Tiffany while explaining what happened added that the plane went like a rollercoaster.

The plane was at 36,000 feet altitude and it was an hour away from landing when the turbulence occurred. Hawaiian Airlines’ chief operating officer added that it was the worst turbulence case that ever occurred and that they are situations where such things happen due to extreme turbulence and with no warning as well. Reyes who is also a passenger added that she feared her life on the plane and that her whole life flashed before her eyes at that time. The flight was full as it was the season of holiday and people were travelling to enjoy their holiday season.
