Richard passed away this week and his demise news was updated by the police. As per the reports Gonzales was seen unconscious and when police checked up on him he was not responded. Police took him to the hospital where doctors announced him dead. Gonzalez passed away on the 7th of December 2022, Wednesday and he was found dead in his cell. His demise was confirmed and declared around 1:13 am that morning. He was 69 years old at the time of his death, while he spend half of his life in jail in California on the murder charge of a daughter and mother. Although no cause of death was not revealed until now, it was mentioned that Marin County Sherriff’s office will determine Gonzales’s cause of death.

Richard was sentenced to death in San Diego back in 1988 on the 28^th of June. There were two counts of first-degree murder that were imposed on him after which the judge declared his decision to sentence Gonzales to death however he was later put on death row at San Quentin State prison. Later, after getting sentenced to his lifetime, Gonzales spend half of his life in prison with him being in jail for over 30 years. He was convicted in the murder case of Neila Silva who was aged 33 years old and her daughter Katherine who was two years old. The two were killed brutally by Gonzales in 1985. Three years later Gonzales was convicted.

Gonzales was found guilty of killing Neila and her daughter. On the day of the incident or the murder, Neila found that Gonzales was burgling the house and she was trying to get away but Gonzales killed her and Katherine as well. Later police found him out and arrested him as well. Gonzales was since then awaiting his execution since 1988 and he might have died due to natural causes as per one of eh reports. According to the prosecution Gonzales was living across the street where Neil and her daughter lived and he beat the mother and daughter unit they passed away after which he burglarized their house and left.
