His brother Costo confirmed via social media that Stephen was with his family when he took his last breath. Last year, Stephen became ill and was on his bed, While he knew that he wouldn’t recover from this, Stephen took baptism of spirit and he wrote many songs until he became too sick and weak to do so. His brother revealed that Stephen was thankful and grateful for what he achieved in his life and that he was brave in the last few months of his life. At the age of 14, he established a band where he performs at parties and started to write his own songs and also sang them as well. though he used to perform at different functions and it helped him gain audience attention, his parents wanted him to get back to Nashville to complete his graduation, but Stephen wanted to pursue his singing and music career.
