What Happened With Ian Kirwan?
As per the report, the incident happened at Asda supermarket where the gang of 5 teen boys killed a man after he challenged them for “interfering in the toilets” as mentioned in the documents of the court. The 53-years-old, Ian Kirwan passed away after being stabbed in the chest and the knife that goes toward his heart at the time of a “brawl” at the store located on Jinnah Road exactly in Redditch on 8th March 2021 as heard by the magistrate.

On Thursday, 10th November 2022, 5 teens who are aged between 13 to 16, who can’t be named because of their age (According to the reports the name of teens below 16 are not allowed to mention) went on court trial at the court named Birmingham Crown Court. All 5 teens reject charges of killing, slaying and violent disorder. The jury was informed one of the accused, age 14, accepts imposing the lethal blow to Mr Kirwan who was a software engineer by profession. He served for Jaguar Land Rover and asserts that protection detracts from responsibility.

The incident happened long back but now the court has heard the case. Benjamin Aina KC, the prosecutor opening the case stated, “We are looking into the matter and dealing with it Tuesday evening, 8th March 2022. The victim Ian Kirwan left his house located in Redditch with the intention of going to the supermarket in order to purchase a light switch. The mall B&Q is located in Redditch which is next to the incident scene. Around 07:15 PM in the evening the victim went into the crime area and some of these gang boys were standing outside the mall.
The victim challenged them “why you boys were dirtying about the toilet?”. These words affect the boys an altercation broke out at the time of the altercation Ian Kirwan was stabbed in the chest ad he passed away on the scene prior to getting admitted to the hospital. When he took his last breath he was just 53 years old.
