The teen who went missing and was reported by the parents was identified as Emily Sotelo, who is just 19 years old, and last week she even turned 20. Emily was on her way to hike in the mountains when she was dropped near the mountains by her parents and she went missing. Her parents were expecting her to be home that evening but she did not return concerning her parents. Emily usually is an experienced trekker and someone who had experience in trekking and going on mountains. Emily is from Westford, Massachusetts, and she wanted to hike Mount Lafayette Mount Haystack and Mount flume.

Emily who was on her way to the mountain was dropped off by her parents. Fish and Game Capt. Michael Eastman in concern about the teen has said that a hiker who is in good shape or form might return down back to the ground or home when the conditions are okay. But he also added that on the day of the incident which is on Sunday when Emily went to the campground of Lafayette, the weather conditions were not fine. He added that the winds were high, the temperature was dropping and also there were high elevations as well. There was also a snowfall as well which was until the chest of a person.

Now speaking about her parents of Emily, her mother saw her start off on the mountain and she added that after seeing her go up they left the place. Emily was dropped off on that day, Sunday, around 5 am. Speaking about the police, they stated that they are also following up on the drainage, and the local river streams in order to see if there is Emily in there by any chance. The police also have revealed that they will soon cover up the whole area. Stewart added that when Emily left she was not prepared for climate change or the weather getting colder.
