LUDHIANA NEWS: A Missing 8-Year-Old Ludhiana Boy Body Found From Doraha Canal, Who Is The Suspect?

Another heinous criminal case came forward as an eight years old young boy went missing on the 18th of August the night time. His dead body was acquired from the Doraha canal today, on Sunday morning. The boy was identified to be named as, Sehajpreet, a Punjab-origin young boy, who was the resident of Abdulapura Basti, at Ludhiana, Punjab. According to the reports as stated that the boy was intentionally being pushed down to the canal by his very own uncle also called his Taya Ji, Swaran Singh. Although he had been detained and taken under police custody since Saturday and after long interrogation, he confessed that he is the one who killed Sehajpreet. His confession was recorded today in the time of the morning. The joint Commissioner of Police, Narinder Bhargav, gave understatement about the culprit Swaran Singh who abducted the boy guest and then took him on a drive alone at night. He didn’t inform anyone in the family and asked Sehajpreet to not tell about their drive to anyone in the family as well. Later he took him to the Doraha canal and pushed him down. After the family couldn’t find the boy till morning they filed the police complaint and police started a search operation and it took them 1 week to search for the boy but he was already dead. Later when police found his dead body, they suspected and scanned multiple CCTV footage of all the nearby areas.

Who Is The Suspect?

And the suspect was found near Jalandhar Bypass. When the footage was made to be seen by the family members they identified him as Swaran Singh. Later after strict interrogation, he confessed to his crime. One of the relatives told reporters that Swaran Singh was detained by police and was taken to the canal to show the exact spot from where he pushed down the boy. Raju also told the reporters that divers were later asked to dive into the canal and fish out the body of the boy from the canal.

Swaran Singh would be charged with second-degree murder cases and other charges as well. All of this was due to the property dispute between the brothers that caused him to commit the crime and kill the child. Stay aware and the police asked the family members as well to give their statements to the police. The court trial would be arranged soon for his punishment.
