This case was given to one of the special agents from ATF named, James Burk. This case was to be solved by him to check whether the complaint was, is true or not. Since he tried to violate the rules and orders of the department, actions were taken against him for not actually following the orders. Burk was then searched and arrested for the same reason. He didn’t even try to do his job as allotted. This whole incident took place on the 7th of July. In Columbia, police officers arrested James as he refused to follow the orders from high commands. He was then arrested by 2 of the officers that arrived at the place of the incident by then. Then, investigation was done along with interrogation from the woman who called for help to officers as Burk entered in her house all of sudden without even having a search warrant. Before this incident, he was charged for secretly stealing wine from some store. He blamed the officers for arresting him by interrupting him while doing his job. Though he was charged for not showing the ID when asked for and entering into someone’s private property without a search warrent. He was also warned about not wearing his uniform during duty hours.
