Doug is a popular personality of Washington, Pennsylvaniaand he also won the prestigious 2023 Louis E. Waller Humanitarian Award. He passed out on 9th October 2023 leaving all his loved ones and family members. He left a huge legacy of social services and published welfare that sets an example to many.

Doug Bush’s career 

Doug Bush’s journey as a social servant started at his early years of Chartiers-Houston Junior-Senior High School Where he decided and started his journey to serve others. He started with full confidence and dedication and always knew that it would grow much more one day. 

After completing his High school education, he then joined the Counselor Aide at the Washington City Mission. From there hw got more paths to help and work for the welfare of others. He realized that it is more than a job and something that he wants to go ahead of. 

Foundation of Legacy Recovery Church

After working for several years and leading his thoughts he decided to create a more supportive society and he founded the Legacy Recovery Church at the Sunlight Club in Washington. It was his first move to his work that can continue till generations. So now his church was the place of his guidance, support from where he started his job for the welfare of others.

Louis E. Waller Humanitarian Award

After his work and support for the society grew on a very broader level, Washington County Community Foundation decided to honor Dough with the prestigious Louise. Waller Humanitarian Award 2023. This is a reward given to the people who works selflessly for the welfare of people and the society to make it a more developed and a better place. Dough was very well deserving of this award because due to his work and efforts, he was able to bring a huge change in Pennsylvania.

His passing and a lasting legacy 

His sudden demise has left everyone shocked and sas. His death was officially announced through a Facebook Post by the Legacy Recovery Church’s page. It was written that ” It’s with a very sad heart, but also my spirit rejoices, our friend and co-pastor, Doug Bush has gone home to be with our Lord and

Savior” . People started giving tributes and showing their immense sorrow for this unfortunate news. Every society need something like Doug Bush who can work this much for his society and work selflessly for the betterment of others.
