The family of Perry added that Perry passed away peacefully at his house and he was surrounded by his loved ones. They also added that Perry passed away due to a short illness. Dennis Fowler as well mentioned that Perry passed away this Thursday the 1st of December 2022, and he was at his house when he passed away. It was mentioned that Perry passed away at 5 am n Thursday. Perry was born and raised in Williamston, North Carolina and he made history through his gaming. Perry became the first player from that place to win the CY Young that too two times. He won the Cy Young award winner first in Cleveland in 1972 after a session of 24-16 took place, and the second time he won that award was in 1978 in a match with San Diego and that was the fifth final of a 20-win season scoring with 21-6.
